The Turks Head is in Chapel Street, Penzance (the third most haunted street in the UK), is a great gastro pub, for something lighter at lunchtime try the Orangery by the art gallery in beautiful Penlee park.

Moving down the road to Newlyn, the Meadery is great for kids and the Smugglers is another great gastro pub. Staying on that road you will arrive at Mousehole. The Ship, overlooking the harbour, is very popular and serves pub grub all day. Very nearby is 2 Fore Street. This is an absolute gem of a bistro offering fantastic food at reasonable prices with a great atmosphere. The walk back to Lamorna on the coastal path takes about 40 minutes and is awe inspiring. A great way to walk off lunch.

Leaving Mousehole, and heading towards Lands End, you will pass the Logan Rock which once again serves food all day. Head to Sennen Cove with its amazing surfing beach and you will find The Old Success which serves food and the Beach Cafe - amazing views, open all day and great for dinner.

Moving along the coast you come Zennor and the Tinners Arms. Also nearby on the road to St Ives is the Gurnards Head which has a reputation as a very good gastro pub. When you arrive in St Ives, seek out
The Porthminster Beach Cafe. This is the jewel in the crown, forget Rick Stein's in Padstow or Jamie Oliver's 15 in Newquay, this has been voted one of the best 50 places to eat in the world! A reputation it richly deserves. Have a long lunch, looking over the bay, eating food to die for.
